New arrangement for reporting of injuries and incidences
From 12 September 2011 the Health & Safety Executivehave confirmed that reportable injuries and incidents will beindicated to them via a predominantly on-linesystem.
Seven forms will be available to make the statutory reportingprocess quick and easy. It will still be possible to report bytelephone fatal and major incidents and injuries. The new formswill be those for reporting an injury, reporting a dangerousoccurrence and reporting a case of disease and other more specificforms.
It is of course a statutory requirement that those injuriesand incidents which fall within the Reporting of Injuries, Diseasesand Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 have to be reported. Itis not optional!
