TUPE – Micro Businesses Able to Inform and Consult with Employees Directly
With effect from the 31 July2014 an amendment to the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection ofEmployment) Regulations 2006 now provides that employers with fewerthan 10 employees may directly consult affected employees inrelation to a TUPE transfer in cases where there are no existing,appropriate representatives and the employer has not invited anyaffected employees to elect representatives.
