Former Hull College student Holly wins Student of the Year at Awards ceremony
23 year old Holly Joyce, whostudied Business Administration and IT NVQ Level 3 at Hull College,was named "Student of the Year" at an Awards ceremony at theCollege last week.
Holly, who joined the firm asan Office Assistant at the end of April having completed her NVQLevel 3 early, settled in to her new role at Rollits and thetraining and qualifications she got from Hull College assisted hergreatly with the transition to full-time employment.
Holly says "Winning 'Studentof the Year' is such a brilliant achievement, it really shows thatwhen you put the hard work in and are determined to succeed youreally do shine through! There are a lot of students within thecollege and to know that I have been picked and acknowledged isamazing, it's such a great feeling!!
"I worked extremely hard on myassignments and work at college and organised many fund raisingactivities as well as helping out with events such as HullBondholders, Hull College Events and the Yorkshire Passionevent."
And to top off herachievements at the Awards, earlier the same day Holly alsodiscovered that she had been successful following her interview fora new legal secretary position in the firm's Company and CommercialDepartment.
Holly continues "I am hopingmy new role at Rollits will help me gain even more skills andexperience, and I am looking forward to the challenges and learningexperience ahead of me."
Office Manager Linda Cookcomments "Holly started out with us as a General Office Assistantand very quickly demonstrated that she has great potential. We are hoping that as the newest member of our Legal SecretarialTeam Holly will gain valuable experience in a role that demands ahigh degree of accuracy whilst at the same time bringing freshideas to help fulfil our desire to continuously look at how we cando things better.
