Macmillan Charity Race Day at York Racecourse – Saturday, 13 June
This Saturday, (13 June) ateam of volunteers from Rollits will give up their time to helpwith fundraising at the Macmillan Race Day at YorkRacecourse.
The team will be at theracecourse all day to help Macmillan's "Volunteer Army" raisehundreds of thousands of pounds for the charity.
The Macmillan Race Day at YorkRacecourse is the charity's single biggest fundraising event inthis region, and has now raised almost £6 million to ensure that noone should have to face cancer alone.
Last year the sum raised inone day exceeded £340,000.
Macmillan Cancer Support wasfounded in 1911 by Douglas Macmillan and is a registeredcharity. They provide practical, medical and financialsupport and push for better cancer care for all those diagnosedwith the disease.
This year there's a new way toget involved. Macmillan supporters both at the races and at homewill have the chance to bid on-line for some amazing auction lotsup to and including Raceday.
