New Partners at Rollits
We have recognised theabilities of two of our Associates, Ed Jennesonand Gerry Morrison, by promoting them to Partner,bringing the total number of partners within the firm to21.
Ed and Gerry have been withRollits since 2002, when they began their careers as trainees atRollits and they qualified together in 2004.
Ed moved into the employmentteam when he qualified. In order to gain some commercialexperience, in 2009 Ed spent 10 months working in-house at NorthernFoods plc as part of their employment team where he was providinglegal assistance to HR Managers on how to manage their 12,000employees. Ed deals with all aspects of employment law with aparticular interest in TUPE and works closely with the firm'scorporate team when dealing with business sales and acquisitions.Ed is also experienced in advising on high value matters such aslarge collective consultations which involve hundreds of employeesand regularly acts as an advocate in the Employment Tribunal forclients.
Gerry heads the charities andsocial enterprise team and specialises exclusively in charitylaw. She advises charities in relation to compliance with theCharities Acts and all aspects of charity legislation, includingcreating and registering new charities, re-structuring andre-organising charities, charity incorporations and mergers. She advises charity trustees on governance and regulatoryissues on a daily basis and regularly liaises with the CharityCommission on a variety of issues. Gerry is a regular contributorto the New Law Journal Charities and Appeals Supplement in relationto a wide variety of issues impacting upon charities.
