New role for former trainee

Rollits has made a new solicitor appointment with the recruitment of former trainee Donna Barnett who has just successfully finished her training contract with the firm in the summer.

Donna completed her Law degree at the University of Hull and joined Rollits as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2015. Based in the Hull office Donna will work in the corporate team dealing with a variety of corporate matters including company formations, mergers and acquisitions and banking matters, along with work on partnership matters, share buy-backs and re-organisations.

During her training contract, Donna spent three months on secondment to Hull City of Culture 2017 where she gained experience drafting a variety of different commercial agreements specific to the Culture and Creative Arts sector.

Donna said "Working with the Hull 2017 team was fantastic and was such a busy but fun three months. I had the opportunity to work on a number of commercial agreements for various different events, before witnessing first-hand what my legal drafting has helped to create. During my time at City of Culture I was able to improve my drafting and communication skills which I will be able to use in my new role as a Corporate Solicitor at Rollits."

Ralph Gilbert, Managing Partner at Rollits, comments: "We are delighted to have been able to offer Donna a position as a solicitor upon qualification. We are keen to invest in the young talent and we look forward to helping her develop and learn as she moves towards the next stage of her career."
