Par for the course as Rollits continues success of charity golf day

Rollits has continued itstradition of uniting the local business community and raising moneyfor a good cause with its 26th annual charity golf day.

Teeing off at Brough Golf Clubon Thursday 3 July, businesses including MKM, Plaxton and JelfInsurance Partnership, came together to raise more than £4,000 forthe Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and Dove House Hospice.

26 businesses from across thearea entered a team to play in this annual medal competition. Theeventual winner was Santander with a score of 118, an impressive 18under par.

The Muscular DystrophyCampaign is the leading UK charity focusing on muscle disease. Ithas pioneered search for treatments and cures for over 50 years andis dedicated to improving the lives of all children and adultsaffected by muscle diseases.

Dove House Hospice providespalliative care to people who have a life limitingillness.

Speaking at the event, SteveTrynka, senior partner at Rollits, said: "The day is always a greatoccasion and the game is played in good spirits.

"Congratulations to Santanderon their success today, but it's clear that the real winners arethe worthy causes we are raising money for.

"Dove House and the MuscularDystrophy Campaign are two charities that can really make adifference with the money donated.

"What started out as afundraising exercise has become a keenly contested annual event, sowe look forward to seeing everyone back again nextyear."
